Scope of work
We are looking for a skilled Plant Design Engineer to join our team in Sweden. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of plant layouts and systems for energy projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create efficient and sustainable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed plant design layouts, including equipment placement, piping, and electrical systems, in alignment with project specifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to support design decisions and optimize plant performance.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and evaluate designs for compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to gather data and assess existing conditions for design improvements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance plant design processes and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ of experience in plant design, preferably in the energy or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of design software (e.g., AutoCAD, P&ID software) and engineering principles.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to plant design and operation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English; knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
