They also provide solutions related to the production, conversion, and transportation of primary fuels, and oil and gas. They also operate integrated hydrogen power plants. This company serves various industries such as air separation, building complexes, ceramics, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, manufacturing, marine, metals, power, oil and gas, pulp and paper, sugar, and textiles.

Scope of work

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Field Service Engineer to join our team in the UK region. In this role, you will be responsible for commissioning, fault finding, maintaining, and servicing equipment related to Compression & Gas Turbines (SGT) product lines, including Centrifugal & Reciprocating Compressors, Rotating Equipment, and Small Gas Turbines (SGT 100-400).

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems, including turbines, compressors, and generators.
  • Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional technical support.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations during all field activities.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation of service activities, including maintenance logs and performance metrics.
  • Provide training and guidance to customers’ personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in mechanical field service engineering, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and principles, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in diverse environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the UK and occasionally abroad.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and applications.
