We are looking for an experienced an EWI Construction Manager (M/F) who will be responsible for the construction phase of the early works and infrastructure of the project and in particular the execution and delivery in accordance with the project development strategy contract. He/She will also be responsible for health, safety, security, environment and social performance in the construction area while ensuring that the construction works are executed in accordance with quality, budget and schedule requirements.
Your main responsibilities
- Responsible to manage, evaluate and challenge the EPC contractor performance on weekly basis through direct reports
- Responsible to provide oversight of EPC Contractor performance/productivity including Health and Safety, Environmental, Community Relations, Quality assurance, Schedule and Cost including measurable items
- Ensure that the EPC contractor effectively manages the Subcontractors to perform Construction works in accordance with the client's plans and specifications
- Agree on mitigation actions with EPCm and EPC contractor and escalate when required
- Liaise with HSE, Quality and Logistics teams
- Assist in trouble shooting the resolution and escalation of Construction problems/issues on Site including to technical and logistic matters
- Provide prompt communication to relevant entity of the Project Team of issues, anomalies and escalate where appropriate
- Ensure that the EPC contractor effectively implements the Community relations plans, and that the Subcontractors maintain a good relationship with Communities on the site, if any
- On Contractors sites, participate to the Job Safety Analysis, make suggestions, stop dangerous situations, and report anomalies and dangerous acts
- Ensures that the biodiversity, the environment, waste management, the footprint are properly managed as per plans
Your background
Education :
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction field.
- Mandatory trainings :Company Trainings: HSE Management on site (Company “GSES” training), Human & Risks Factors, Major Emergency Management, Initial Response (MEMIR - OPITO certified).
Skills :
- Fluency in English.
- Good knowledge in civil works & earthworks, infrastructures, engineering, construction, installation, commissioning
- SIMOPS
- Knowledge and understanding of contract management
- Project management skills (Budget/Cost/Schedule)
- Good communication & organizational skills.
- Able to work in a multicultural environment
Experience :
- At least, 15 years experience in Oil and Gas projects
- 15+ years at same or equivalent position with managerial responsibilities
