High-Pressure Water Blasting Operator
Your assignment
- Location: Port Moresby (will require travel on adhoc basis)
- Length of contract: Project based role
Your main responsibilities:
- Commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment on site
- Work productively and supervise a multidisciplinary team
- Blasting at 15,000 - 30,000 psi (High and Low volume Water Blasting).
- Tank cleaning/Tank head experience
- Descaling tanks and pipes
- General laboring duties
Your background
Training:
- Hydro-Jet operator specialized in flexi-lancing operation and poses a certified operator certificate from HPWJS Certification or equivalent
- License to Operate Standard Steam Generator Certification
- High-Pressure Water Blasting Ticket Assistant/Operator; within 2 years (in line with industry standards).
- White Card (Desirable)
- Permit to Work System in Oil and Gas Industry (Advantageous).
Skills:
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Sound knowledge in Job Safety Analysis, Risk Assessment and Hazardous Identification
Experience:
- Expertise in conducting standard nitrogen purging of pipeline/tank systems
- Experience in a similar High-Pressure Jetting and vacuum cleaning role (Advantageous).
