Your main responsibilities
The deputy Project Director - Site & Construction is responsible for leading the provision of effective Construction Management. While the Construction Contractors (or the EPC contractor managing them) are responsible for the safe execution and quality of Construction and are also responsible for achieving the specified design, the Owners require Assurance that these safety standards, specifications and quality standards are being consistently met.
The deputy Project Director - Site & Construction supports and advises at the project execution level on these standards strict compliance, awhile he/she also ensures that the Site communication and coordination leads to frictionless workflows at Project site.
The role provides leadership, integration and management of Site processes and functions to improve the consistency and efficiency of project delivery and provide assurance to the Project Director of high performance in the execution of the Works.
The main responsibilities are the following:
- Project Planning/Set-up
- Project Coordination/Steering
- Site Direction/Steering
Your background
- Training / Education :
- Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, Civil works or equivalent
- Project Management qualification.
- Experience :
- Relevant experience as a Construction Manager for minimum of 10 years in large project environment
- Diverse international experience, specifically in working with multi-national teams
- Knowledge of Project Management Systems, Engineering, Construction and Documentation Control
- Skills :
- • Fluent English is a must – basics of Chinese Mandarin as well (or at least experience working in Chinese construction projects)
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment (Asian and European)
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
