The Client

Our client is a joint-venture between a world leader in gases, technologies and services for industry and healthcare, AND one of the largest producers of copper and silver in the world. The two have signed a new long-term contract for the supply of oxygen and nitrogen at the Głogów site in Poland. The former has invested around 40 million euros in the construction of a state-of-the-art Air Separation Unit (ASU) which offers high levels of energy efficiency and reliability. In addition, the extended liquid argon production will support growth of the Industrial Merchant business in Poland.

Scope of work

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to oversee our projects in Głogów. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects while ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements. You will lead cross-functional teams and work closely with stakeholders to drive project success.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution and closure.
  • Develop project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure effective project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Conduct regular meetings with project teams and stakeholders to communicate updates, resolve issues, and ensure alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout all project phases.
  • Prepare and present project reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and achievements.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, mentoring and supporting team members as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years’ of experience in project management, preferably in the industrial gases, energy, or engineering sectors.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PMI, Agile).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering results on time and within budget.
  • Fluent in English and Polish; additional languages are a plus.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
