CCSU Electrical & Automation Senior Lead Engineer

As part of their environmental objective to reach a neutral carbon footprint in 2050, our client has launched several carbon capture and sequestration projects in Greece and Croatia that have been awarded grants from the European Funds.

Other Eastern Europe countries are currently proceeding to feasibility studies and application to the European Funds for similar project.

Our client is looking for an Electrical and Automation Lead Engineer for the above projects (and other projects in Eastern Europe). He will be accountable for the proper execution and result into his respective disciplines of:

  • the bidder qualification process, preparation of the technical sections of the tenders, technical bid analysis and recommendation, technical clarification, technical execution of the related contract, Contract formation and Contract administration
  • the quality and timely delivery of the engineering by subcontractors.

As an Electrical & Automation Senior Lead Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing, specifying and managing technical the different engineering and/or suppliers and/or EPC Contractor for all subject related to Electrical and Automation subject.

His scope will include:

  • Plants retrofit electrical concepts with conceptual and detailed design supervision,
  • Carbon Capture electrical and Automation detail design supervision,
  • Incoming substation (110 and 150KV) conceptual and detail design,
  • Other technological package conceptual and detail design,
  • Integration of the new workshop into the existing control and electrical systems.
  • Preparation of the electrical & Automation technical section of the tender for engineering services, procurement or construction works
  • technical support of the construction site.

The job will be based:

  • For the first 2–3 years: in Lyon with mission in Greece and Croatia or in Athens with missions in France (Lyon & Paris) & Croatia
  • Then at Company's Plant in Milaki, Greece, during the construction phase.

He will report to the head of CCSU projects in Eastern Europe and to the Group Electrical Expert for all technical aspects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptual definition of the different sub packages and integrations into the overall project and existing electrical and automation systems,
  • Review and comment of the Electrical and Automation engineering deliverables of the different subcontractors (Plant retrofit, Carbon Capture plant, Water treatment plant, sea water treatment plant, etc.)
  • Conceptual study and tendering for the incoming substation (110 & 150kV) and associated OHL,
  • Integration and interface of the news workshop electrical and automation systems with the existing plant
  • Compliance to the Group design Specifications.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in electrical (LV, MV & HV) and automation (PLC Siemens or ABB) engineering, preferably in the cement or heavy process industries or industrial engineering company in an international environment.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability in stakeholders’ management,
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
