Scope of work

An opportunity exists for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in France. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment used in oil and gas operations. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful execution of projects while adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze mechanical systems, including pumps, compressors, valves, and pipelines.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new projects and modifications.
  • Develop and review technical specifications and engineering documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of existing mechanical systems to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on mechanical engineering.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks), and project management tools.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, ISO).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
