Your main responsibilities

The construction area manager HPAL is in charge to control the good execution of all the construction activities, alerting in case of slippage of the time schedule, to control the cost of the construction in his perimeter.

He/She will work closely with HSE, quality, engineering, procurement, material management, time schedule to ensure that construction activities are properly organized and executed by EPC and Construction contractors.

The main responsibilities are the following:

• Manage the leveling of the site for the main plant, for the temporary camps and for the temporary offices and laydown areas if needed.
• Manage all the geotechnical surveys and reports
• Manage the pilling activities
• Supervise all the earthwork activities under the responsibility of the EPC contractor(s)
• Manage the construction of the permanent camp
• Manage the construction of the roads outside of the perimeter of the EPC contractor(s)
• Supervise the construction of the roads, parking, laydown, and pounds done by the EPC contractors

Your background

• Experience :
  • Extensive experience as a Senior construction engineer
  • Experience and training on earthworks, leveling, geotechnical, road, buildings, and utilities
  • Experience in contract management
• Skills :
• • Fluency in English
  • Chinese mandarin / culture awareness preferred
  • Good communication skills and diverse international experience, specifically in working with Western companies, Chinese engineering / construction contractors and equipment suppliers
    
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment (China, Indonesia, France)
  • Very familiar with high level standard in term of HSE (including environmental measures during construction) and quality
  • Ability to report and to identify the main difficulties and to propose solutions
  • Software: Microsoft software (Excel, power point, MS project ), autocad or equivalent
