We are currently seeking a Senior Rotating/Machinery Inspector to join a high-impact project in Mozambique.
We are seeking an experienced Subsea / Marine Inspector to support offshore and FPSO project operations. The role requires extensive experience in subsea inspection, integrity verification, and installation oversight of pipelines, risers, subsea structures, and mooring systems. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in supervising IMCA-compliant dive teams and ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) operations in subsea construction and inspection activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections of subsea infrastructure, including flowlines, risers, jumpers, PLEMs, manifolds, suction anchors, and mooring systems.
Monitor and supervise subsea installation and inspection campaigns involving divers and ROVs, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Review and approve inspection plans, method statements, risk assessments, and dive/ROV procedures.
Witness and verify subsea NDT methods (e.g., CP readings, UT, MPI) and dimensional surveys.
Ensure the quality and integrity of subsea welds, coatings, and mechanical connections.
Monitor vessel-based operations and support marine assurance processes.
Coordinate with project engineering, construction, marine, and integrity teams to track inspection findings and close-out punch items.
Review inspection reports and video logs, and generate comprehensive documentation for client and regulatory submissions.
Enforce compliance with IMCA guidelines, HSE standards, and international offshore codes.
Requirements:
Minimum of 7–10 years of relevant experience in offshore/subsea inspection, including FPSO or subsea pipeline projects.
Strong knowledge of subsea hardware, SURF (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines) systems, moorings, and structural components.
Experience in supervising divers and ROV operations, preferably with IMCA familiarity.
Proven background in subsea construction, pre-commissioning, and integrity inspection.
Understanding of international codes and standards (API, DNV, ISO, IMCA, ABS).
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, subsea layouts, and isometrics.
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Valid offshore survival (BOSIET/FOET), medicals, and H2S certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in NDT (UT, MPI, CP), CSWIP 3.4U (Underwater Inspection Controller), or IMCA DSV/ROV Supervisor desirable.
Degree or diploma in Engineering, Marine Technology, or related field.
Experience with digital inspection platforms, subsea asset integrity systems, and GIS-based tools.
Portuguese language skills (for work offshore in regions like Mozambique, Angola, or Brazil) considered a plus.
