About the Company
Client is a French drilling and underground civil engineering company which supplies industrial equipment and technical services for customers all over the world. Their company was established in Genas (69740) FRANCE and they currently have about 80 employees and gross annual revenues of about 37.000.000€. Based on customer requests and specifications, they design and manufacture specialized equipment for underground drilling.
Their two main products are: a fully computerized drilling jumbo, a manually operated drilling jumbo.

Job summary

Client is looking for personnel for a project in Papua New Guinea that will start on September / October 2024.
The project consists in a LNG pipeline stabilization work involving competent drilling operational personnel to complete micro-pile installation using a drilling attachment installed on spider excavators. 6 Spider Excavators will be operating at the same time, over a total of 15 repair locations throughout the 18 to 24 months of the project. In each location, piles will be drilled vertically up to depths of 21m below grade, using a pile squeezing system. Piles are then connected via tie-rods and filled with cementitious grout.
For each drilling equipment, one Operator will be assisted with one Skilled Helper, and will drive the machine to the required location, and then remotely control the boom and drilling attachment. The operator must ensure safe and efficient drilling completion.

Responsibilities
• Following up the machine maintenance and writing down the reports on the troubleshooting and repairs made;
• Organizing the regular maintenance of the machines, with the operators and the site manager, in order to ensure the best efficiency of the machines;
• Supervising the mechanics in their daily duties, in compliance with the safety rules and with the Health & Environment policy of the jobsite

Experience
Strong mechanical understanding and skills (hydraulic, electric, etc.) including welding abilities

Work Conditions
Rotation schedule: 4 weeks ON and 4 weeks OFF (including travel days)
During ON time period:
• work 7 days a week
• from 6:00 to 18:00
Two base camps will be set-up, depending on the repair location at the time of the rotation.
