With over 150 years of experience, they support major industrial and energy projects by ensuring safety, quality, and performance at every stage. We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Inspector to join an industrial project site in Mozambique.
Scope of Work
The Electrical & Instrumentation Inspector will be responsible for overseeing the quality and compliance of electrical and instrumentation installations during construction and pre-commissioning phases. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all systems meet international standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities

Perform inspections of electrical and instrumentation installations, including cables, panels, junction boxes, PLCs, and loop systems

Verify compliance with technical drawings, specifications, and applicable standards (IEC, NEC, ATEX, IEEE)

Supervise key installation activities such as cable laying, termination, and pre-commissioning testing

Conduct loop checks and validate accurate calibration of field instruments

Work closely with QA/QC, HSE, and construction teams to ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols

Prepare detailed inspection reports and manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) effectively
Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering

Minimum 5 years of relevant inspection experience in industrial or Oil & Gas projects

Strong working knowledge of international electrical standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, ATEX)

Proficient in QA/QC procedures related to electrical and instrumentation works

Detail-oriented with strong technical documentation and reporting skills

Previous experience with EPC contractors or international project environments is a plus
