Position Summary:
To support and advise Category Analysts, Supervisors, and the Superintendent of Strategic Sourcing Services in the execution of strategic sourcing activities for both industrial and non-industrial projects.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Prepare and execute sourcing activities from needs identification through to contract finalization.
  • Coach and support Category Analysts and Supervisors in developing category analyses, tendering strategies, negotiation approaches, and contract preparation.
  • Market Trend Analysis: Monitor price fluctuations, product availability, and supplier performance to inform purchasing strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Cost Optimization: Identify savings opportunities through supplier negotiations and procurement process improvements.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply that meets operational needs.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop KPIs to assess procurement efficiency and recommend improvements as needed.
  • Internal Collaboration: Partner with operational and financial teams to align business objectives and strengthen category management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Bac+3) in Business or Supply Chain.
  • 5+ years of experience in sourcing and project contracting, preferably in the heavy industry and/or construction sectors.
  • Knowledge of industrial/mining processes and relevant sourcing category management.
  • Ability to coach and develop a team.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain ERP systems, contract law, and contractual terms.
  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • High adaptability and agility.
